According to Wikipedia, the free online encyclopedia, parenting is the process of raising and educating a child from birth until adulthood.
In the case of humans, it is usually done by the biological parents of the child in question [1], although governments and society take a role as well. In many cases, orphaned or abandoned children receive parental care from non-parent blood relations. Others may be adopted, raised by foster care, or be placed in an orphanage.

Everyone has a different parenting style. They range from 1 Authoritative parenting to
2 Authoritarian parenting , 3 Permissive parenting , and 4 Neglectful parenting .

Another increasingly popular parenting style is Attachment Parenting

Wikipedia states that, Many attachment parents also choose to live a natural family living (NFL) lifestyle, such as natural childbirth, home birth, stay-at-home parenting, co-sleeping, breastfeeding, babywearing, homeschooling, unschooling, the anti-circumcision movement, the anti-vaccination movement, natural health, cooperative movements, and support of organic food.

I wanted to touch a little bit on parenting because that is one of the main topics of this blog. I know I could dedicate pages and pages on this one single term. I could also break it down into several related topics but I thought it would be best to start with the general parenting word. What are your thoughts? I welcome any comments.
