HM: What is your name and where are you from?
Laura: My name is Laura Williams and I live in
HM: When did you start blogging?
Laura: I started blogging in April 2007 with a challenge from a fellow scrapbooker but I didn't really start using my blog until late July or early August of that year.
HM: Why do you blog?
Laura: Even though I started blogging because of a challenge on a scrapbooking forum, I now use my blog to share a variety of things with others. I love to share what I find. Why keep something good to yourself when you can share with "friends".
HM: What is your blog about?
Laura: My blog is a mixture of goodies. I share everything from daily life, homeschooling tidbits, book reviews, recipes, frugal tips, daily contest roundups, book and product reviews (some with giveaways) and more.
HM: What are your ultimate goals for your blog?
Laura: To help others. Whether it's one of my daily contest roundups that they use to find other contests out there on the many blogs, or if they use one of my recipes to make their dinner menu, or a homeschooling tip, or whatever. If it helps someone else in some form or fashion, then that's what makes me smile.
HM: What do you want your readers to get out of your blog?
Laura: I am the same in real life as I am on my blog and I would hope my readers feel that through my posts. I hope they feel a sense of "friendship" and "sharing".
HM: What do you do to get your readers to keep coming back?
Laura: I post a daily contest roundup that I know many of my readers enjoy but I would hope they also come back for the book reviews, product reviews, as well as my many other posts.
HM: Do you have any favorite blogs or any blogs that you read regularly?
Laura: There are so many blogs that I enjoy and visit on a regular basis and have in my google reader. I would hate to start naming blogs and forget one. I don't want anyone to feel left out.
HM: Do you have any advice for other bloggers?
Laura: Be yourself. Don't try to be someone you're not.
HM: What is one thing that I did not cover in these set of questions that you feel we should know about you or your blog?
Laura: You have asked some great questions so not sure what else to say other than, I love blogging and although it's not my main priority, I love it. The comments and the direct emails from readers asking me a question for more information about something I posted or just a comment saying "Love this idea", that makes blogging fun. You may be wondering what my main priority is. Well it's my family. I am a Christian homeschooling Mom to seven children ranging in age from 20 months to 20 years. I have 4 boys and 3 girls. My days are filled with hugs, and lots of love and many days loads of laundry. Anyone want to come help with laundry? LOL
