People all over the country are getting ready for the annual Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. Anna Sloush, a participant has been personally affected by the disease. She states, "my maternal grandmother died of it in 1996, she was only 66 years old. I have been touched by cancer once again when my mother, at 48, was diagnosed with Stage 3 ovarian cancer. She was in remission for about a year, and now is back to chemotherapy to continue her battled against this deadly disease. Breast, ovarian, prostate, lung, or any cancer for that matter has touched us all in one way or another. By helping one, we stand to help them all."

Anna is seeking donations to help make this year's walk a success. If you are interested in donating please visit her Avon Walk Page.

Such a great way to get involved! One woman I work with raised something like 5000 for the walk. It is really inspiring! It is amazing to hear some of the empowering stories as well.

It's really inspiring that people are helping by doing this walk. I used to do a walk for hunger that was 25 miles. I haven't done one in yrs.

Thanks for sharing this.
