My Tubal Reversal Success story

I had my tubes tied pomeroy style (which means cut, burned, then tied back together) in March 1996 during my c-section with my 3rd child. I was 22 at the time and thought I was done having children. Little did I know my then husband would end up leaving me two years later for an older woman.

When my current husband and I met and then married in 1999, he had no children. He said he was fine with just helping me raise mine as his own, but I told him I thought we should get my tubes untied and try to have a child together because I wanted him to know the joyous feeling of looking into a child’s eyes and knowing they came from you.

Finally, after six years of me chanting at him, he decided he did want to do it if I was still willing! So on April 27th, 2005 I had my tubal reversed at Lakeshore Surgical Center in Gainesville, Ga. by Dr. William Greene.

The tubal reversal cost us $6300 out of pocket, but was much worth it since I found out I was pregnant with my now 3 year old only a month and a half later! My little guy was born in Feb. of 2006 and we went on to have a girl, our second tubal reversal miracle, in December 2007.

Our family is now complete as I had my tubes re-tied during my c-section with my 5th child, but we will always be thankful that God allowed us the two tubal reversal miracles :)

If you are thinking of having your tubes untied, it is possible. I'm living proof. For anyone interested, I have pictures of my TR journey on my blog located HERE.

That is awesome!! I had my tubes untied 15 years ago, when it was barely being done. My tubes had been tied for 16 1/2 years...(we had 4 older children..much older:) Anyway, since then God has given us 3 children. They are now 10, 13 and 15. I was 42 when my last baby was born. I'm so thankful for all 7 of my children! No more babies for me though..I'm now 52 and have had a hysterectomy. Have 3 grandchilren and well some days I'm tired:) But joyful and thankful!
