Are you potty training your child but getting frustrated with the process? Sometimes kids are stubborn and parents expect too much. Below are a few tips that will help you potty train your little one.

1. Get your child used to his potty chair. Have him sit on it with his clothes on. Once he is ready you can show him how he is supposed to go potty.

2. Use cotton training pants and plastic pants instead of disposables. Disposable training pants are very absorbent and your child might not be able to tell if she is wet. Accidents are okay and will help her learn better.

3. Praise your child for going potty or even for just sitting. Parents can not praise their children too much. A few positive words from you will get your child excited about going potty.

4. Be consistent. If you think your child should go potty after he wakes up in the morning make sure you put him on the potty every morning.

5. Never give up. Some children may take a while to become a master of the potty. Don't give up. Keep trying and before you know it she will say goodbye to diapers forever.

I did all those tips. I realize it was getting stressful for us both. I stopped.

When she shows interests again, we'll do it all over again and hopefully with success this time.
